Dosbarth Mumbles

Welcome to Dosbarth Mumbles! 

This half term we are learning about cultural diversity through the whole school theme 'We Are One'. We cannot wait to get started through our EPIC planning and quests work. Our Core Purpose Superhero 'Ethical and Informed Efan' will be super proud of us! 

This term we will also vote for our new AoLE Leaders who will help to form our school Senedd. You will have to prepare for the roles through presenting your leadership qualities. The roles we will be applying for are: 

• Science and technology (Digi/ STEM Leaders) 

• Language, Literacy and Communication (Criw Cymreig) 

• Maths and Numeracy (Entrepreneurial Leaders) 

• Faith Leader 

• Humanities 

• Expressive Arts (Creative Leaders) 

• Health and Well-being (Bronze Ambassadors) 

We will work with our Senedd on a special enterprise project and make money for our school. We will certainly be enterprising and creative contributors likes our 4CP Superhero, Ceri! 

 In Year 4, we will follow and keep to our classroom rules: 

• To be faithful, loving and respectful, 

• To be kind to one another 

• Ask for the teacher’s permission, 

• To be polite and appropriate, 

• To listen to each other, 

• To always do our best. 

• To be happy and have fun! 

We are extremely fortunate in Year 4, as we have fantastic outdoor areas in school and the beach right on our doorstep, which we will use. Every fortnight we learn at the beach and every day we go outside and learn in our environment. 

Every Wednesday and Friday, we complete health and well-being activities so we have to wear our P.E. kit. We will also learn drama and dance every Thursday, which is also very physical. We are really trying to be Healthy and Confident individuals just like Healthy Holly our 4CP Superhero. 

We will promise to bring in our diaries every day to update them with spellings, logins and reading as well as other important notes for our mums and dads. On a Friday, we will write up our homework and make sure we read the class HWB announcements. In our diaries, you will find our autumn targets and we will try very hard, as ambitious and capable learners, to reach our targets, which is what our Ambitious and Capable Amber wants us to achieve.
